Our Employee Benefits Plan Manager career path provides you with an opportunity to lead various employee benefits programs and initiatives.

As an Employee Benefits Plan Manager you work as part of a team and will provide deep functional, technical and strategic expertise in support of our employee benefits programs. You should have at least 10 years experience in benefits plan management with a solid knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and other employee benefit program compliance requirements. You should have a proven track record of benefit program oversight including group health insurance, wellness, disability, leave administration, life insurance and retirement plans. In addition, you should have a desire to grow personally and professionally with each complex challenge and display a strong commitment to quality, drive for results and client-focus.
Our Employee Benefits Plan Manager:

  • Functions as a senior level HR professional as the subject matter expert in the areas of  employee and retiree benefits programs
  • Is responsible for general program oversight and support to leadership, major programs and clients
  • Develops, leads and implements enterprise-wide global employee benefits initiatives
  • Serves as a consultant and subject matter expert driving strategic planning, vendor selection, policies, governance, mergers/acquisitions and decision making in areas of expertise for enterprise leadership
  • Performs complex analyst duties, vendor negotiations, cost-driver analysis, cost-containments initiatives and recommends solutions to complex challenges
  • Develops annual cost accruals and program budgets
  • Works in partnership with the Human Resources Director, other Employee Benefits Professionals and Human Resources professionals to develop, implement and communicate employee benefit plans

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelors Degree in HR, Business or related field
  • 10+ years professional work experience in HR/Benefits
  • Knowledge of Plan governance, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and other employee benefit program compliance requirements
  • Benefit Plan Pricing, Communications, Administration or HR Generalist experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • MBA/Masters degreepreferred
  • 15+ years professional work experience in HR/Benefits
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
