Management Recruiters of Berkeley has been retained by one of the Bay Area?s top hospitals to conduct a search for an Emergency Department Director position based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. The facility is licensed for over 200 beds and offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, including award-winning stroke care. The Emergency Department is well-equipped with nearly 30 beds and triage rooms. On an average day, the award-winning Emergency Department team treats more than 115 patients, administering critical care for stroke, heart attack, car accidents, sports injuries, poisoning ? or any medical or psychiatric emergency. Recognized as the best performing ED in its system, the ED receives approximately 53,000 annual visits and is a STEMI receiving center and TJC accredited stroke center. The facility is well-equipped and has its own transfer center and helipad, enabling the movement of patients to meet specialty needs and receive specialty care. Though the organization has a history of serving Bay Area patients that spans over a century, the facility itself is new and state-of-the-art as it was recently rebuilt to meet the growing needs of the community.
Our client is seeking an Emergency Department leader with the passion, vision, and drive to execute the strategies, goals and objectives defined for the organization and the Department of Nursing, including the execution of operational plans for performance improvement to ensure excellent customer experience and clinical and service outcomes. They will ensure availability of appropriate resources and supervision of personnel to meet expectations and promote the organization's standards of behavior. They will also maintain clear communication with staff, physicians, all health team members, and administration to foster a team approach for patient-family centered care that optimizes health outcomes and ensures patient safety within the ED. Additionally, the ED Director will be responsible for financial oversight and control of budgets, working collaborativelywith service line leaders and physicians to plan future and current business development and engaging medical staff and clinical leadership in continuous process improvements, applying appropriate strategies such as lean and rapid cycle improvement.
* Valid California RN License.
* Master?s degree.
* 3-5years of experience in Emergency Department leadership with demonstrated success in clinical and operational performance.
