EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR-HOSPITAL

Hospital is a locally owned and governed, not-for-profit healthcare system and the largest, most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in the region. Hospital provides services to Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties through inpatient acute hospital services.

The hospital's growing array of specialty services includes robotic surgery, cardiac care, orthopedics, stroke care, neurosurgery and more. The Rehabilitation Hospital offers inpatient rehabilitation treatment for patients who have had a stroke, traumatic brain injury or other neurological disorder.

POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL FLORIDA.

RELOCATION EXPENSES PAID FOR THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates and evaluates the quality of Nursing/Patient Care, financial stability, and service productivity.

The Director is responsible for the professional development and morale of the service teams and has a close working relationship with General Management team and medical staff to effectively meet system goals, organizational goals, and pillars relating to the department he/she oversees.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

*Bachelor’s DegreeRequired

* Graduate DegreePreferred

Special Skills and Experience:

* MUST HAVE a current Florida Nursing License

* BLS for Healthcare Provider preferred

* 3-5 years’ previous experience  in a Director level position

* Specialty Certifications within one year of position, as appropriate

TEAM MEMBERS SUPERVISED MAY INCLUDE:

RN, LPN, CAN, CST, HST, Monitor Techs, Nurse Techs, Respiratory Therapist,

Unit Secretary, Department Head Secretary

* PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

* Leadership/management/ motivational skills

* Strong organizational skills
