IQ Inc. provides custom software engineering services for companies with highly-engineered products. Our team is dedicated to working hard, solving problems, and having fun while we do it. We are in need of an Embedded Software Engineer toprovide technical expertise in design and development of embedded software systems using C/C++. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, debug and support of software components and utilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designs and codes components, units and modules that meet product specification and development schedules.
  • Tests and debugs assigned components and units.
  • Actively participate in meetings & design reviews for product concepts, solutions, results, and status
  • Conducts root cause failure analysis on devices.
  • Successfully engage with cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers in the discovery, adaptation and integration of new and existing technologies to create innovative and reliable new product designs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work onmultiple projects


  • Experience with embedded systems in some or all of the following
  • | Embedded Linux development
  • | Embedded user interface design
  • | Good understanding of microprocessor hardware architectures (preferablyARM).
  • | In-circuit emulators in embedded systems.
  • Demonstrated successful results in participating on technical teams

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced (2+ years) with C and or C++ , 3+ years preferred for C++
