Principal Job Responsibilities:
Drive and document firmware definitions and requirements. Enable and implement UEFI features to advance security, reliability, availability and serviceability. Debug across hardware, firmware, and software stacks and skilled at using software and hardware debugging tools. Work across multiple disciplines and functions to drive platform innovation such as Azure engineering groups, hardware, validation, independent software vendors.
Master’s degree or foreign educational equivalent in Electrical Engineering or closely relevant field such as electronics engineering, plus 2 years of experience developing: hardware drivers for Secure Hash engine, and AES engine; cryptography functionality and security features in boot firmware; device lifecycle support and control in boot firmware; MPU setup features in boot firmware; OTP programming and device provisioning software; cryptographic function library;command line interface tools for debugging. 2 years of experience integrating non-security firmware functionality (flash read/writes, etc.) with security firmware. 2 years of experience working with tools team(s) and testing secure updates. All experience may have been gained concurrently.
