Team Description:

The Customer Relationship Management team is responsible for creating and cultivating direct-to-consumer relationships with The Walt Disney Company's most strategic customer segment. It does so by managing the Disney Visa Cards business, which is both an operating unit, as well as a cross-business unit loyalty program. The department is made up of 35 professionals across multiple disciplines (Marketing, Finance, Business Operations) who work closely in a highly dynamic environment with cross-functional partners across Disney, our bank card issuer, and our payment network.


Partner with Director and Senior Managers to support elements (see below) of customer engagement marketing for the Disney Visa Card program (i.e. no fee card, fee card, debit card), a line of business that also serves Disney's only cross line-of-business loyalty program. In this role, the Email Marketing Manager will:

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of engagement marketing tactics for cardmembers, including creative development, targeting, testing, implementation and measurement

Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Partner with Senior Managers on engagement marketing campaigns, such as limited-time offers emails and direct mail and program communications
  • Develop creative, including writing creative briefs, overseeing creative services team in the collection of input from internal and external partners and providing feedback to the creative agency. Ensure creative reflects previous learnings, incorporates best practices and fits with our brand look and feel
  • Determine and plan testing related to specific communications
  • Develop targeting, review counts and direct Chase team on list request
  • Partner with email vendor and Campaign Operations on email deployment plans
  • Optimize email results
  • Partner with Senior Managers and Campaign Operations team on annual creative refresh
  • Identify required changes and enhancements, develop markups/briefs, and oversee creative services team in the collection of input from internal and external partners and providing feedback to the creative agency. Ensure creative reflects previous learnings, incorporates best practices and fits with our brand look and feel
  • Partner with Chase and LOB partners on execution and timing

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing work experience
  • Experience in direct marketing, especially email marketing, including:
  • Developing marketing plans
  • Leading marketing creative strategy, writing creative briefs, developing and executing creative
  • Experience developing targeting strategy/criteria and testing constructs
  • Partnering with internal and external teams on projects and ongoing initiatives
  • Performing campaign analysis, identifying trends and using creative problem-solving to achieve/optimize results
  • Strong creative development skills, turning consumer insights into effective marketing communications
  • Ability to establish strong relationships and work with others to achieve goals
  • Ability to identify and solve any roadblocks, including soliciting support from supervisor when needed
  • Very detail oriented

  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Proven success of driving results/ability to follow through, creativity & innovation, and priority-setting
  • Ability to operate independently while keeping peers, partners, and supervisor abreast of activities

  • Working knowledge of the windows environment and applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Power Point

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Marketing, Economics, Business or related discipline
