Electronics Engineer, Journeyman
KBR is looking for qualified candidates to help support the Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) team within the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division across the country. Applies electronic engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate electronic components of test and training Range instrumentation systems, data processing systems, communications systems, and display systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies electronics engineering experience to perform functions such as electronic component integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Works independently on more complex tasking and consults with senior engineers as needed. The work quality of engineering products and services is spot checked by senior engineers. Oversees the quality of work products and services of junior engineers. Supports tasking working with more senior engineers.
BS Degree in an electronics or computer engineering discipline from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). A minimum of 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar function.
A minimum of 2 years of work experience with electronics engineering functions as related to development, test, or evaluation of instrumentation systems. Possess an academic and work experience background in such areas as preparation of technical and operational test plans, execution of sophisticated tests, certification of systems, logistic support planning, technical data review, and analytical interpretation of test results.
