Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E). Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Programmers who are developing applications for technical end users (e.g., CAD, CAM, CAE, CASE) should be matched here.

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may begin to coordinate activities of other team members. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.Maxar is seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer in Ypsilanti, MI.

Responsibilities:

• Support a multi-disciplinary team in the innovation, development, and evaluation of advanced capability algorithms for signal and image processing.
• Develop signal/image processing algorithms and models for Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) mitigation and Electronic Protection (EP) / Electronic Counter Counter Measures (ECCM).
• Implement physics models and signal models for various Electronic Attack (EA) / Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) approaches.
• Perform analyses to assess the impact of various EA / ECM / EP approaches.
• Author, design and maintain toolsets to generate, manipulate, and evaluate system data.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance
• Requires 8 or more years of relevant experience.
• Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related technology fields.
• Strong programming skills (MATLAB, Python, C++, C, or similar).
• Experience with signal and image processing, analysis and algorithm development.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current/active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with integration and verification of technology, operational processing, exploitation, visualization tools, product standards and definition.
