The Electronic Systems Manager is responsible for development of electrical and electronic hardware and systems that support Ride Performance products that meet the needs of the market, customer, business, and operations. This team is responsible for executing this development with discipline in order to minimize the time to market and operational expenses.

  • Functionally lead ONE Global Electronic Systems Engineering and provide Product Line and Regional Engineering teams with Electrical and Electronic components and Systems Integration expertise required to ensure that MIS technologies provide customers with products that give a competitive advantage in price and performance.
  • Team Management and DevelopmentCreate DFMEA Engineering Culture
    • Establish electronic systems functional expertise for damping products and suspensions systems
    • Develop standardized training material for the electronic systems
    • Establish an annual global status review & GAP Analysis
    • Complete annual SWOT
    • Complete annual skills assessment
    • Complete the annual maturity model
    • Hiring plan to close gaps in capability and capacity
    • Own Succession planning for the Electronic Systems team
      • Develop future leaders for the Electronic Systems team
    • Drive improvements in engineering execution through team development
    • Drive structured problem solving through training and standardized tool utilization
  • Create Design Review Culture
    • Support Product Line specific design reviews relative to the electronic systems
    • Support Systems Engineering and Algorithm Development teams in the establishment and review of requirements documentation
  • Establish the Home Room for Electronic Systems Team
    • Establish & maintain common processes for Electronic Systems.
    • Own the electronic system requirements and architecture.
    • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests
    • Own electronic system architecture for demonstration vehicles
    • Own demonstration of technology to senior leaders and customers
    • Support execution of global VA/VE activities related to electronic components and systems
  • Own the Engineering Execution Processes, Procedures, and Tools for Global Core EngineeringMaintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure safety of self and others
    • Own standardized objective measurements system and documentation
    • Own the electrical/electronic component requirements (SOR), Technical Specification and Engineering specification (ES) for Product Line’s
    • Support the annual vehicle-benchmarking plan for systems.
    • Drive year over year operational efficiency improvements to the Engineering factory via KPI’s
  • Leader will be responsible for Global Electronic System activities for all Product Lines.
  • Travel required by this position is approximately 25%.

  • Knowledge of automotive network protocols.
  • Expert in Component Requirements (SOR) for new designs, Component Technical Specifications, Engineering Specifications (ES) for manufacturing, DVP&R, Test Reports, and Data Analysis, Component Release in SAP, Worst Case Analysis (WCA) Requirements for Circuit Analysis and Simulation
  • Experience with ISO26262 and cyber-security
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes and standards (e.g. INCOSE).
  • Expert in customer communication and relationship building

Required Experience


  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering with minimum 15 years progressive experience in automotive engineering
  • Background in product development, test, or operations: e.g. sensor integration.
  • Knowledge in Electrical system architecture design, Network (CAN) requirements, Electrical System DVP&R including thermal, vibration and EMC testing, Benchmarking of physical architecture
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, & Powerpoint) and Project Management software.
