Overview:

Design and development of wireless sensor, energy harvesting, and digital sensors using SENT or CAN protocol.

 

Experience with wireless technology and digital communication protocols for new sensor design and development. Experience with the development of new electrical/electronic components in collaboration with suppliers. The candidate will be responsible for new sensing technology development in Advanced Sensing team. The candidate will manage development of new sensors with the new emerging technology utilizing established processes for specification, sourcing, design & process verification, and production launch.

Primary Skills:

Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Experience with the development of new electrical/electronic components in collaboration with suppliers. Incumbents have usually gained 5 to 10 years of experience and are able to perform complex assignments and lead projects independently.

 

Experience with wireless technology such as BLE, Bluetooth, WiFi, RF, and/or ZigBee Experience with digital communication protocols such as SENT, CAN, LIN, etc Experience with wireless sensor and energy harvesting development Experience with the development of new electrical/electronic components in collaboration with suppliers. Past experience on the electrical component lab testing and validation. A basic understanding of the principles of Electronics packaging and manufacturing process. Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and manufacturing systems. Incumbents have usually gained 5 to 10 years of experience and are able to perform complex assignments and lead projects independently

Educational Qualifications

Education/Experience: Requires an accredited bachelor’s degree in ElectricalEngineering with focus on telecommunication or wireless communication - Masters or Ph.D. degreepreferred.
