Description Leidos is looking for a seasoned electrical or power engineer to provide expert engineering advice and guidance to the US Department of State (DOS) to ensure electrical and power systems within US embassies and missions overseas meet applicable security requirements. This position involves working with teams of architects, intelligence analysts, and technical security engineers to evaluate designs for potential security vulnerabilities as well as formulate/research recommended countermeasures and policies. A successful candidate will have experience working with secure power and knowledge of isolation practices. Technical Security Countermeasures (TSCM) experience with US Government certification is highly desired.
Position Responsibilities
- Review construction blueprints and designs of US missions for compliance with DOS FAM/FAH requirements.
- Suggest alternative solutions to correct security deficiencies.
- Respond to requests for information on potential technical security vulnerabilities with respect to electrical power systems and red/black isolation.
- Leverage your engineering expertise to provide input to draft policies, best practices, and studies.
- Provide technical oversight to security research activities in fields of electrical, acoustical, optical, and radio frequency.
Requirements:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
- Certified electrician with 12 years of experience installing/designing secure power systems for Intelligence Community facilities and/or US Embassies.
- Extensive experience installing/designing secure power systems for Intelligence Community facilities and/or US Embassies.
- Deep understanding of red/black power isolation and grounding requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of security requirements in the DOS FAM/FAH.
- Working knowledge of electric power generation systems and components, electronic controls, fuel systems, and life and safety.
- Experience in conducting Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) surveys.
- TS/SCI w/Polygraph

- Background in architectural and design construction or related work environments

Pay Range:Pay Range $118,300.00 - $213,850.00
