Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Position Overview
As part of a multidisciplinary team composed of electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and technical designers, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of advanced electrical and automated systems supporting next-generation engine programs and test facilities.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project coordination responsibilities in a dynamic and highly collaborative engineering environment.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Lead the research, development, design, integration, and validation of electrical and automation systems while ensuring alignment with technical requirements, project objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for engine test facilities and automated test benches.
- Analyze technical requirements, operational constraints, costs, schedules, and customer needs to assess project feasibility and define optimal solutions.
- Design and specify electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and automation architectures for industrial applications.
- Coordinate and oversee the manufacturing, installation, commissioning, maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical and automated systems.
- Develop project schedules and support budget planning to ensure successful project execution within established timelines and cost targets.
- Support the integration and implementation of new technologies across test systems and facilities.
- Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions to present recommendations, findings, and technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations throughout all project phases.
What do you need to be successful?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical systems, automation, or industrial engineering environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley)
- Experience with HMI programming (Wonderware InTouch)
- Knowledge of industrial networking and databases
- Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems
- Familiarity with electrical building codes and standards
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial systems
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Knowledge of gas turbine test cells or aerospace testing environments
- Experience with MS Project
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in schedule- and budget-driven environments

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
