You are responsible for

·         Key member of the R&D Electrical Engineering team, involved with the design of next generation development activities and the support of current products  

·         Create electrical schematics and PCB layouts

·         Assist in the prototyping and testing of new electrical designs including identifying components through data sheet reviews and evaluations

·         Lead and participate in design reviews

·         Author and peer review documentation including but not limited to electrical specifications, design verification protocols/reports and miscellaneous test reports

·         Provide engineering support to other disciplines including System V&V, Quality and Manufacturing

·         Actively participate on multi-discipline project teams through all phases of product development to ensure successful execution of innovative, best-in-class design

As an R&D Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of the Product Development team within Philips Connected Sensing. All around us, we are experiencing a transformation in how healthcare is delivered and consumed.  Industry experts believe that wearables and connected bio-sensing solutions will help solve critical clinical challenges; the ones that are increasing preventable suffering, anxiety and costing billions of dollars every year.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

·         BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with an electrical focus / MSpreferred

·         3+  years in R&D product development. Medical device experience a plus

·         Hands on mixed signal (analog/digital) circuit design experience. RF (Bluetooth, WiFi, Cellular, etc.) design a plus

·         Low level analog design experience with physiological signals (ECG, EEG, EMG) a plus

·         Design of low power, battery operated devices a plus

·         Ability to generate electrical schematics and layouts using CAD tools

·         Use of analog and digital simulation tools such as Spice and HyperLynx

·         Familiarity with IEC 60601 standards desired

·         Proficient in the use of basic lab equipment and test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and spectrum analyzers

·         LabVIEW experience a plus

·         Self-starter with proven ability to work independently given high-level direction

·         Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-organizational relationships
