The Telecom Electrical Engineer will join the Integrated Engineering Design team in our Seattle office. The Electrical Engineer primary responsibility is for quality control of engineering deliverables including analysis and designs. In addition, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the assistance of mentoring junior staff, helping to develop processes, calculation templates, report templates, and developing quality control procedures for our telecom design and analysis staff.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design process from feasibility through completion
  • Liaise directly with clients on major projects
  • Perform detailed electrical design work and review the work of junior designers
  • Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to client
  • Prepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and audits
  • Prepare written tender documents and technical specifications
  • Evaluate products and contractor proposals in order to make award recommendations to owner
  • Work with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineering
  • Assist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent
  • PE designation is required
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role preferably within the consulting engineering industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with quality control and production scheduling is preferred - ability to liaise with clients and contractors
  • Ability to provide mentorship and interest in developing technical capabilities of junior staff
  • Ability to manage a team of technical staff is an asset
  • Proficiency with office software (MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Good oral communication and technical writing skills
  • Commitment to quality deliverables and service; superior sense of duty and responsibility
  • Team player, dedicated, able and willing to work in demanding professional environment
