Description:Immediate opening for Electrical Engineersfor industrial customers to perform detailed engineering of electricaldistribution systems including specifications of equipment; purchasing assistance; field documentation of existing systems; close communications with customer personnel; the creation of detailed electrical design drawings and documents for construction and future maintenance; electrical studies for both new and existing systems; programming of protection relays, VFDs, and related equipment. The successful candidate must be able to participate in the design of industrial control and instrumentation systems; project engineering functions such as scheduling, estimating, tracking and communications; electrical system studies; and occasional marketing efforts.
BSEE or MSEE from an ABETaccredited university; P.E. license desirable; 5+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in an industrial setting;electrical-system and arc-flash study experience; working knowledge of common electrical systems drawings and documentation, such as electrical plans and elevations, conduit and cable schedules, one-line diagrams, MCC and switchgear layouts and details, electrical panel schedules, wiring diagrams, motor-control and other schematics, P&IDs, lighting plans, heat-trace diagrams, electrical equipment specification sheets, motor lists, etc. Familiar with Microsoft Office products and other commonoffice software.Ability to mobilize throughout industrialfacilities, including climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating narrow walkways, climbing over piping and other obstacles, walking long distances, lifting up to 50 pounds. Willing participation incustomer-required drug and alcohol testing program which includes pre-employment screening and random testing; valid driver’slicense (clean record in last 5years and must maintain); U.S. citizen. Out of town travel and possibly out of country (typically less than 10% but could be more at times for specific project needs). Salary commensurate with experience and education.
