We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team in Rockleigh, New Jersey. 


This position will play a key role in the design and development of production test stations used in our electronics manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for creating test plans, designing test equipment, selecting and procuring instrumentation, developing fixtures, supervising the assembly of test systems, implementing automation, writing procedures, and managing deployment/sustaining support. The ability to analyze digital electronic products and determine appropriate test strategies to verify hardware functionality is essential. Strong electrical engineering knowledge is critical.



  • Development of production test systems for Crestron’s Audio product lines including speakers, amplifiers, HDMI audio products, optical and SPDIF audio products
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, test platforms and test specifications
  • Provide training to team members and production personnel
  • Work with design engineering to develop a test approach and strategy for a product and/or suite of products
  • Work closely with design engineering to test and debug product features during new product introduction
  • Provide project updates for test engineering projects
  • Use DFT principles to develop sound test strategies for production test at both board and system levels
  • Support production NPI during the initial launch phase and ensure acceptable test repeatability and product yields 
  • Be a point of escalation for technical issues that occur in production
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Masters preferred
  • 4 - 6 years of engineering experience, at least 2 years in a test audio related role is a plus
  • Understanding of audio test methodologies and techniques (analog and digital audio)
  • Understanding of THD, frequency response, pink/white noise testing, SNR, channel separation and other industry standard audio test methodologies
  • Familiarity with instrumentation used for audio testing (i.e. NI PXIe-4499 or similar, Audio Precision 515/525, Clio or similar)
  • Strong digital and analogcircuit analysis ability
  • Working experience with cross-functional teams
  • Software programming proficiency strongly desired (C++, LabView, TestStand)
  • A passion for quality and excellence

  • Travel up to 15%
