Job Type: Contract - 12 Months / Contract to Hire / Direct Hire

Job Description:

  • Min 5 year of exp
  • Instruct, direct, and check the work of other design engineers
  • Translate product requirements into implementable architectures
  • Conduct design analysis on electricalcircuit assets to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are maintainable, customer focused and reliable
  • Perform detailed electronic design of microprocessor/microcontroller based platforms and related analog/digitalcircuits utilizing common peripherals including, ADC, DAC, USB, Audio, Video, Cameras, Touchscreens, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Flash Memory, DRAM, CAN, SPI, UART, etc.. This will include drawing of circuits themselves after basic analysis and paper design activity using a schematic CAD tool along with simulation.
  • Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, customer focused, and reliable
  • Prepare technical data such as design verification test results, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines and similar technical instruction documents
  • Maintain organized history of design artifacts utilizing a version control system and/or like tools
  • Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
  • Communicate with other engineers and supervising project managers to coordinate and assure project completion
  • Mentor other engineers as they work through day-to-day technical challenges
  • Assist in preparing proposal documentation and integrate into customer specifications
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in product design
  • Experience with embedded systems and microprocessor/microcontroller (16 -32 bit) based design
  • Experience with 12 bit ADC/DAC based design.
  • Experience with the power supply design for 10-18W
  • Experience with Obsolescence management
  • Experience with tools such as Cadence Alegro 16.6
  • Experience in designing to meet required EMI/EMC Standards
  • Experience with functional aspects of product design including: requirements understanding, general electrical design analysis and documentation creation, design for manufacturing/design for test, and design verification
  • Experience working in teams including engineers from multiple engineering disciplines
  • Experience in medical device design or other regulated industries preferred
  • Experience with MS Office products including MS Project
  • Ability to work with both internal and external (customer) resources
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements for feasibility, cost and development timeline
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to write technical specifications and design documentation, create and author templates for engineering documents, create project proposals with technical details, present verbally in one-on-one or group settings
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction
