DfR Solutions is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer with excellent analytical and customer interface skills to join our staff in the Washington, DC, area (Beltsville, MD). The primary focus of the Senior Electrical Engineer will be to support customers who are facing challenges with board-level electronic circuits.
Areas of expertise and experience that could be relevant include design of power and/or analog electronics, ESD/EOS (failure mechanisms, mitigations, test methods), EMI/EMC (failure mechanisms, mitigations, test methods), Signal Integrity/Power Integrity, and/or power semiconductor devices (FETs, Diodes, IGBTs).
It will be desirable for the Senior Electrical Engineer to be comfortable performing design reviews of customer designs and identifying areas of potential risk, designing electrical test plans and test structures, performing circuit simulations, and supporting root-cause analysis investigations.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be expected to plan, set the direction for, and motivate technical teams, contribute to the solution of technical problems, provide concise written and verbal technical updates and reports for internal and external audiences, and function as a primary technical interface for customers.
The position requires technical expertise, excellent planning and project management skills, and the desire to take ownership of and solve novel problems in the electronics reliability space.
Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, with a Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred) and 8 to 10 years demonstrated experience. Excellent technical communication skills (written and oral) are a must.
