Electrical Engineer Automated Diagnostic Assay Equipment
Seeking 3+ years of experience designing electrical, electronic and control systems and components for bioanalytical, desktop assay, pharmaceutical high throughput screening, robotic laboratory equipment, automated biomedical diagnostics, or similar.
Typical Laboratory Automation Integrated Components:
*** Multi-Axis Articulated Arm Robots.
*** Analytical Instrumentation Components (HPLC, GC, MS, GC/MS, FTIR, etc.).
*** Mini Centrifuges
*** Heating & Cooling Systems
*** Cleaning, Sterilizing & Waste Disposal
*** Automated Dispensers and Pipettes (Pipetting Robots).
*** Liquid Handling Systems
*** Automated Nozzles, Probes and Suction Syringes
*** Grippers and End Effectors (vacuum, needle, conventional, etc.)
*** Microplate, Wellplate and Sample Vial Handlers
*** Linear & Rotational Motion Systems
*** Solenoids & Actuators
*** Machine Vision Systems
*** Programmable Controllers
*** Power Supplies
*** Data Collection & Storage Systems
*** Human Machine Interfaces
*** Collaborate with design team to develop large scale bioassay robotics.
*** Develop digital and analog signal processing designs.
*** Specify, source and select motion controllers, sensors, signalers, processors and interface components.
*** Design and build electrical and electronic assemblies, prototypes, harnesses, Printed Circuit Boards, RF Shielding, etc.
*** Produce drawings, schematics, layouts, etc. using current design and modeling software.
*** Control Systems Design.
*** Prototype building and troubleshooting.
*** AC & DC power step down and distribution.
*** Linear and rotational motor and drive application.
