Electrical Engineer at Associated Engineering in Saskatoon, SK

An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the water, environmental, infrastructure, transportation, building, energy, and asset management sectors.

We currently have an opening for an Electrical Engineer in our Saskatoon office.

Reporting to the Manager of the Electrical & Instrumentation group, you will join a dynamic, high-performance team that provides a broad spectrum of services to municipal and industrial clients. You will be active in the design of power and automation systems with instrumentation to monitor medium voltage electrical service, process, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, low voltage electrical distributions systems, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems. Process applications include water treatment, wastewater, HVAC, greenhouses, and water distribution. You will also be involved in minimal project-based supervision of engineers or technicians, project planning and the review of others’ work for technical accuracy.

The successful candidate will have worked on multidiscipline projects, is an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills, and thrives in a dynamic work environment. Job Requirements

What you will bring to the table:

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGS.
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in a multi-discipline engineering setting.
• Experience in medium voltage electrical service, automation systems, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, instrumentation, low voltage electrical distributions systems, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
• Experience assisting in the preparation of proposals, project plans, and estimates.
• Proven technical leader.
• Excellent oral communication skills.

• Automation Field Experience an asset.
• Experience conducting field inspections and/or working with contractors is an asset.

• Ability to travel within Saskatchewan.
