Collins Aerospace is looking to add an entry-level Electrical Engineering candidate passionate about learning to develop, modify, integrate, and test both flight and ground vehicle training simulators. Devices range in complexity from simple desktop trainers to high-fidelity, full-flight training systems. Work includes both clean-sheet and design reuse. From an electrical perspective, devices are a conglomerate of off-the-shelf computational elements and internally designed electro-mechanical hardware, knit together with custom arrays of cabling and interconnects. The functionality and fidelity of the finished simulated vehicle provide customer trainees with all the experience necessary to be able to operate or service their real-world counterparts safely, efficiently, and with confidence. May travel as required; up to ~15%.
This role is onsite, in Binghamton, New York. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- You will work in the product and technology domain.
- You will be working under moderate supervision of technical leadership to analyze, design, and document electro-mechanical hardware and interconnects of limited to medium complexity.
- You will engage with engineering team to understand design requirements.
- You will learn to use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities.
- You will support remote teams collaborating on common projects.
- You will provide support for customer or internal reviews and meetings.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn and utilize applicable internal processes and tools for the development of training simulator hardware.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Past experience with a schematic design CAD software tool.
*Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Active DoD security clearance..
- Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Technical Co-op/Intern or Military experience working on electrical equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D software Design tools.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
