Electrical Design Engineer at Bombardier in Tucson, AZ

In your role, you will:

• Prepare all necessary documents such as specifications, quotes, av/el drawings, functional tests and reports related to aircraft modifications.

• Coordinate with customers, internal and external, vendors, and regulatory officials.

• Collaborate with core design engineering team to develop larger engineering design packages for aircraft cabin upgrades.

• Work with outside vendors, internal departments, and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, testing, and certification of avionics and entertainment systems in Learjets, Challengers, and GX aircraft.

• Work with avionics techs for drawing deviations

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

• You have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of ten (10) years of practical avionic/electrical system installations, testing & integration experience in aviation.

• You have at least 5 years design experience in aircraft installations

• You have experience with AutoCAD - preferred

• You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

• You have good analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

• You have demonstrated leadership skills and creativity in problem solving while working in a team-based environment

• You are a self-starter and are able to handle multiple initiatives effectively

• You take ownership of issues that are impacting initiatives under your mandate and are results oriented

• You must have a sense of organization, time management and you demonstrate autonomy

• You have proven capability to build and maintain professional relationships by demonstrating strong communication skills

• You must be willing and able to interact with other engineers, shop personnel, and others in a collaborative manner

• You have modification/completion experience with Bombardier line of aircraft (Learjet, Challenger, Global Express
