Must have an Electrical Engineering degree from a 4-year ABET accredited college
Must have excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and written communications skills and computer skills
Minimum required college GPA: 3.0
Passed the NCEES FE (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) will be a plus
This position requires the candidate have the career goal of becoming a Professional Engineer
Experience with Revit, Autodesk® AutoCAD and Microsoft Office will be a plus
U.S. citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain a United States of America Passport
Must be able to pass U.S. Federal Government required background checks in order to have access to these U.S. Federal Government properties
Electrical Design Engineer Summary
The degreed Electrical Designer will be working under the responsible charge a Professional Engineers in our Electrical Engineering Department. The duties of the Electrical Designer will be to design electrical, telecommunications systems, and electronic security systems for buildings. The electrical systems include normal and emergency power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding systems, public address systems, nurse call systems, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV systems, voice/data systems. The Designer will be required to develop electrical Revit drawings, write specifications, and perform cost estimating. Travel is required for project field investigations and project conferences.
