Columbus, Ohio area Major Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Controls Systems Development Engineer for Braking Systems. Responsibilities will be focused around the development of the Braking Control Systems including Anti-lock brakes (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Electronic Brake Booster, Brake by Wire, and supporting brake functions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Will also be responsible for negotiating requirements with the autonomous/semi-autonomous control systems team. The primary responsibilities for this position involve developing the functional requirements related to CAN interface, Self-Diagnostic, Failsafe Detection for each vehicle development, working with the system supplier to lead the integration of these functions into the vehicle, as well as verification of the functions. Roles include project management activities, overseeing the testing of the related vehicle systems, negotiating the hardware and software interfaces to integrate the system into the vehicle, instrumenting and troubleshooting vehicles for testing, analyzing test data, and recommending solutions for test failures. Must have a Bachelor?s degree in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering as well as a minimum of one year of experience in the automotive field and experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electricaltroubleshootingexperience. Salary up to $85,000 Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
