Major Responsibilities

•Assist in developing equipment standards and verification that sourced equipment meets established standards.
•Participate in developing tooling standards and verification that sourced tooling meets established standards in assembly.
•Assist in the specification, procurement and installation of metalizing, coating and assembly equipment along with support equipment for same. Provide launch support for assigned equipment.
•Support operations on troubleshooting complex issues in assembly, molding and coatings as required.
•Good working knowledge of project information and project interdependencies in order to make informed decisions.
•Meet your commitments and confront and elevate issues timely
•Participate in corrective actions for Customer complaints

Knowledge and Education

•Trade CertifiedElectrician

Work Experience

•Minimum of 5 - 7 years Engineering and Manufacturing experience in the Automotive and/or Automotive Supply Base sector preferred focusing on Assembly Methods, Molding, Coating and Tooling.
•Experiencein an Integrated Product Development Team environment

Skills and Competencies

•Ability to interpret and design electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
•Aptitude for working with numbers with a high degree of accuracy.
•Programming of Programmable Logic Controllers with advanced functionality (PID, motion control, serial and Ethernet communication, etc)
•Understanding of internal data acquisition system - Trans4M, QSI, Pro8
•Experience with various Maintenance and tooling activities, knowledge of product design and production systems.
•Highly motivated, self- directed, creative, innovative and people oriented person.
•Able to multi-task on several fronts to meet Business Plan objectives.
•Good PC Application Skills.
•Demonstrates focus on meeting program commitments.
•Good project management, planning and scheduling skills

Additional Information

•Understanding of machine programming and Ethernet
•Understanding of HMI programming.
•Ability to research and learn programming and troubleshooting techniques on specialized equipment (ie. Servo controllers, frequency drives, etc)
•Knowledge and implementation of Electrical Safety code and control reliable safety circuits
•Take a lead role in understanding the technical aspects of our specific product on our equipment and mentor/train others on our processes.
•Support and participate as required in preventive maintenance of equipment and improving up-time.
•Knowledge of Customer Specific requirements (TS16949 / ISO9000 / ISO 14001 / OHSMS) and industry Standards.
•Proven ability to execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets.
