Job Title: Electrical Component Design Engineer - Direct Hire / Full Time / Perm

Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Job Description:

  • Experience Level (Years): 3+yrs
  • We are currently seeking a EE Component Design & Release Engineer to join our growing team in Auburn Hills, MI.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for EE component design, development, packaging, testing, calibration, and releasing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interface with systems group to define vehicle-level functional specifications
  • Develop component level specifications
  • Participate in Product Assurance Planning (Program Management)
  • Manage supplier of components for cost, quality, and velocity
  • Manage component DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
  • Manage component DVRR (Design Validation and ReliabilityReport)
  • Manage Timing Proactive Quality Plan
  • Participate in Reactive Quality Problem Solving
  • Support supplier quality during Process Sign-off (PS)
  • Conduct PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) Reviews
  • Release components via Change Management System (CN’s)
  • Interface with EMEA, APAC, and LATAM counterparts on global commonality
  • Some travel to Mexico (supplier plant), EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and FCA assembly plants

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Advance Driver Assist (ADAS) Component ReleaseExperience
  • Familiarity with Rear-view Camera and Ultrasonic Systems preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical/ElectricalEngineeringpreferred
  • Full understanding of automotive electronic ECU development process
  • Experience managing or developing embedded software
  • Three years of electronic ECU development and releasing experience
  • Strong leadership skills; prepared to lead supplier team
  • Experience managing suppliers and/or engineers
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, CAPL
  • Familiar with cryptographic principals
  • Familiar with ethernet and CAN/CAN-FD protocols
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
