??Manage EH&S compliance related activities (local, state and federal rules and regulations) associated with the operation and maintenance of the foundry, including the permitting process, auditing, inspections by agencies, etc.
??Participates in industry related groups focused on monitoring governmental activities in these areas and providing input to shape regulations and rules.
??Develops GLCC programs and policies to improve EH&S performance.
??Serves as key focal point in community and industry groups on EH&S related matters.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
??Is responsible for establishing an operating budget for EH&S programs and projects in collaboration with the President and CEO and monitoring expenditures to remain within it.
??Coordinates the training of wastewater operators to assure ability to perform daily responsibilities.
??Coordinates the activities of the Health & Safety Committee at GLCC.
??Coordinates the training of all employees in Health and Safety performance.
Technical / Administration
??Responsible for evaluating EH&S issues in the Company and making policies and guidelines for resolving them.
??Responsible for assuring that the Company performs appropriately in key environmental areas such as air quality, water quality, solid and liquid waste disposal, community relations, emergency response, recordkeeping, permit applications, etc.
??Responsible for assuring that the Company performs appropriately in key Health and Safety areas of OSHA/MIOSHA compliance, training, audits, emergency response, prevention activities and PPE equipment, monitoring Health & Safety performance, recordkeeping, etc.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and Industrial Hygiene or related health sciences
Experience: Minimum of four to six years of progressively more responsibleexperience in environmental, health and safety management in industry.
