Responsible for the development, implementation, management and monitoring of site Environmental Protection, Industrial Hygiene, Health, Safety and Security programs, procedures and policies for ITT Aerospace Controls. Insure complete site compliance to all OSHA, RCRA, SARA Title 3, EPCRA, local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements & Skills:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in environmental, safety and health science or engineering or science discipline and at least 10- 12 years of direct experience in ESH&S or a related field. Experience in Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, Ergonomics, Fire Prevention, California’s IIPP, CAL/OSHA, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Storm Water Management, Material Handling Equipment such as Cranes and Hoists and Business Continuity Planning and ISO 14001-2015 certification.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is preferred. Must have previous leadership experience.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
MECHANICAL, ELECTRIC ENGINEERING SKILLS
Ability to apply mechanical engineering skills to various manufacturing operations such as machine safety and factory hazards.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possess extensive knowledge in OSHA, accident reporting and preventative safety. Complete knowledge in Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations including all reporting requirements and employer obligations. Possess communication & interpersonal skills including strong presentation and organizational skills. Possess strong analytical & problem solving skills. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) desired.
