EHS Manager opportunity with a US-based manufacturer with 30+ locations across the US and Canada. This role will manage EHS programs, actively participate as a subject matter expert and part of the site leadership team, as well as, engage and build EHS competencies throughout the operations.
Skills, experience, and education required:
- BS in Safety, Engineering, or related field. MS level education is a plus
- 3 or more years of manufacturing plant level EHS program support/management
- Leadership capabilities; excellent communications both verbal and written, engagement and influence
- Strong plant floor safety technical skills that must include, LOTO, machine guarding, hazard analysis and incident prevention
- Experience supporting environmental compliance programs such as SWPPP, NPDES, hazardous waste and Tier II reporting preferred
Scope of responsibility includes:
- Managing day to day EHS compliance programs
- Working with plant leadership and corporate EHS in support of advancing compliance performance and culture
- Plant floor engagement, facilitating training
- Audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Coordinate environmental programs, audits, and present annual training
