Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented EHS - Management Information Solutions Senior Project Manager for  employment in the Morrisville, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying new opportunities for AECOM through external engagements (e.g., conference attendance and speaking events), existing client relationships, and networking within AECOM
  • Leading proposal efforts and directly contributing to proposals, cost estimates, schedules and team structures to win new work and additional work with existing clients
  • Developing and training junior staff while serving as an operations manager for TaaS
  • Leading and Project Managing Management Information Systems (MIS) projects for clients during all stages of implementation and maintenance
  • Leading teams and providing technical guidance as the teams build client MIS and othertechnology solutions using application builder tools
  • High-level learning of commercially available software application tools to configure the system to meet clients’ defined requirements, understanding written scripts to create modified or new functionality, supporting Jr. Staff with using reporting applications to configure or create new reports
  • Leading business development and project management by leading/assisting with proposal writing, sponsoring and attending conferences, identifying new opportunities with clients, creating new or revised external and internal marketing materials serving as a deputy project manager for client projects, hosting internal calls and external client meetings to generate new business with internal/existing clients


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equal
  • 10+ years of experience with EHS MIS applications
  • Experience with environment and compliance management
  • Experience with database structures and database management
  • Demonstration of successful project management methodologies and skills
  • Experience as EHS MIS Systems business analyst and/or systems architect
  • Strong technical writing skills and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of or experience with Health and Safety (EHS) compliance or other line of EHS work
  • Ability to support/lead multiple projects on an on-going basis
  • Ability to work with people around the world and conduct business in a global economy
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
