The incumbent provides clinical quality consultation for Sutter Employee Health Services (EHS) clinics. Directs clinical quality audits; designs, implements and optimizes clinical audit checklists. Work closely with Sutter EHS leadership, operating area EHS Medical Directors, and clinic leads on clinic operations and training (related to the delivery of clinical services), to maintain high quality levels. Oversees risk for clinical service delivery, and is responsible for identifying risk issues related to the delivery of EHS clinic services. Ensures all new and existing clinical programs meet quality and risk avoidance requirements and partners with EHS clinic leadership to ensure survey preparedness, presentation of EHS information, and any survey response required related to EHS findings.
In partnership with clinic leadership, provides direction and guidance on strategies and methods to maintain continuous readiness with State and Federal regulations, and Joint Commission accreditation standards. Also services an on-site consultant to the clinics when actual surveys occur and at any other time at the request of the clinic, including program development, implementation and education.
Supports Sutter EHS clinics, in the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of all EHS clinical programs. Optimizes all clinical programs across the Employee Health Services clinics, which involves forming and facilitating various project workgroups; assisting with teaching new programs, working 1:1 with clinic staff to ensure project success, implementing QI strategies, and assisting with related MyEHS software improvements.
Work closely with the EHS clinical team to ensure ongoing optimization of all clinical service lines. This includes monitoring all changes to the EHS electronic health record that will affect clinical services and insuring the successful and timely adoption of the changes as well as maintaining deep understanding of all the service lines and the tools used in the work.
Serve as the clinical lead for implementation of clinical services. This includes assisting in planning activities to assure project deliverables and other work are produced timely and outcomes are achieved in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
This position requires frequent travel to Sutter EHS Clinics.
Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) is required
Master's in Nursing or related field is preferred
Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN is required
3 Year's experience with senior level management for a large health care organization required
3 Years of demonstrated success at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided required
3 Years of experience with EHRs – experience with Axion/ReadySet preferred
3 Years of experience with clinical program implementation required
