Job Title: Senior Interface Analyst - Cerner Interfaces (Rhapsody Focus)

Position Overview:
The Senior Interface Analyst will be responsible for maintaining integrated healthcare systems by developing and managing HL7 interfaces using Rhapsody. The ideal candidate will bring experience from previous interface analyst roles, particularly in working with Cerner Millennium and reference lab interfaces. The focus of the role is to design, develop, and troubleshoot interfaces for healthcare systems, including ADT, ORU, ORM, and Cerner ESI. Candidates with experience in reference lab integration and a willingness to learn will excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and understand complex healthcare integration requirements, particularly with Cerner Millennium and reference lab interfaces.
  • Develop HL7 interfaces using Rhapsody to support integration with a variety of healthcare systems, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Design and document interface specifications, mappings, and technical documentation for both Cerner interfaces, focusing on a new reference lab integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Analysts, Engineers, and external partners to plan, coordinate, and support interface development and integration activities.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify interface transformation needs, creating mappings to enterprise-standard dictionaries.
  • Participate in testing and validation of interfaces to ensure successful integration and report on outcomes.
  • Oversee the management and updates of the Document Scoping Workbook, detailing mapping, normalization, and configuration specifications across the enterprise.
  • Work with business partners, vendors, and internal teams to lead and coordinate efforts in maintaining both the Interface Scoping Workbook and Document Scoping Workbook.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing interfaces with Cerner Millennium.
  • Rhapsody 6.5 Associate Certification is required.
  • Cerner FSI experience required
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards and healthcare system integration, particularly for ADT, ORU, ORM, and Cerner ESI interfaces.
  • Experience in developing reference lab interfaces is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in SQL and JavaScript is an asset.
  • Familiarity with other integration engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Cloverleaf is a big plus

Work Environment:
  • The role may require occasional on-call support for urgent issues, with the flexibility to work in a healthcare setting with interdisciplinary teams.
