SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Carlisle's eCommerce initiative in combination with managing a team of inside sales and customer service professionals with a primary focus of growing customer accounts. eCommerce management includes working with the business owners to identify products that would be attractive for eCommerce, ensuring the products are positioned correctly on the website, setting pricing guidelines and availability of stock and other day-to-day management. The inside sales team will assist with this effort as well as be responsible for growing sales at accounts through traditional telephone and email sales efforts across multiple Carlisle markets. Strong focus is placed on talent development of direct reports and creating a highly motivated team.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




Leads eCommerce initiatives for Carlisle after implementation, member of eCommerce development team

Makes recommendations on which products to put into eCommerce working with Outside Sales and Product Management, ensures that products are positioned correctly on the website working with the business owners, leads team that manages eCommerce stock levels and day-to-day functions.

Leads and supports Inside Sales managed New Business Development account growth, exceeding Market growth expectations.

Leads, supports and promotes initiatives focused on improving the overall Customer Experience (CX) and ease of doing business with Carlisle working with other inside sales managers and functions.

Sets strong goals and objectives related to delivering outstanding CS and IS, both new business development and key account management. Develops and implements action plans to achieve those objectives. Measures and reports progress against objectives to management on a regular basis, develops action plans to address performance below expectations.




Establishes and communicates customer forecasts, analyzes sales and market trends, sets and reviews price break and purchasing strategies, makes recommendations for stock packages to service the market based on customer demand.

Manage sales office responsible for customer support functions including RFQs, demand management and responsiveness to internal and external customer inquiries.

With Sales Directors, leads and supports teams that jointly manage Inside and Outside Sales customer accounts, exceeding Market growth expectations.

Leads and promotes Talent Management initiatives, ensuring Talent Development plans are in place for key CS & IS individuals and ensuring overall Talent Management initiatives are executed. Includes setting and conducting performance reviews with direct reports, timecard approvals and other managerial duties.

Leads process for following up on applicable trade show, website and other marketing generated leads coordinating with Outside Sales.




Establish professional and responsive relationships with customers as needed to ensure total customer satisfaction while meeting all business profitability objectives.

Act as a liaison between customer and internal cross functions to ensure all customer expectations are communicated, understood and met throughout the organization in a timely manner.

Develops industry knowledge, oversees efforts to ensure team also has market and product knowledge necessary to enable them to win, keeps Outside Sales aware of market and competitive developments.

With inside sales team and working with outside sales and operations, helps develop referrals for other parts of the business such as cable harnesses, assemblies and other areas.

Uses CRM system to track status of quotes and major Opportunities ensuring linkage between Inside Sales and Outside Sales.




SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Manage Inside Sales and Sales Execution/Customer Service team in order to achieve company objectives.



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:




May occasionally require the incumbent to be work flexible hours when needed.

Other duties as required in support of the company and/or sales department.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three years of management experience in an inside sales and customer service environment with inside sales experience preferred.
• Aerospace and/or military & defense Industry, experience with electrical interconnect products desired.
• Experience with development and management of eCommerce, customer portal and similar business systems
• Marketing experience working with lead generation and qualification, online promotion of products is beneficial
• Working knowledge of financial reports. Understands margins, inventory turns, costs, profit and loss, etc.
• High energy team player with a sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Highly motivated and good motivator of others. Set and meet high performance standards based on excellence for the benefit of the customer, the individual, team members and internal customers.
• Maintain professional appearance and ethical conduct.
• Has a thorough understanding and operates under CarlisleIT's policies and procedures. Has general working knowledge of the process and procedures that relate to the sales department's "internal customers."
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills to include MRP systems and Microsoft Office products including usage of MS Dynamics CRM or other similar CRM tools
