Summary

The Drilling Services Procurement Associate has overall responsibility to drive value and efficiency and expand market advantage via end-to-end category management (from strategy to implementation), while ensuring operational integrity. This role supports activities world-wide, specifically as it relates to Drilling Services (Directional Drilling, cementing, pressure pumping, packers, completions equipment, etc.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of agreements within the Drilling Services category
  • Process execution, full compliance with ExxonMobil controls culture
  • Support Category Specialist in development and implementation of category specific strategy and commercial guidance
  • Provide portfolio specific information to Category Specialist and othernetwork Procurement Associates
  • Steward tactical Client relationship for key portfolio activities
  • Supplier relationship management  
  • Identify business value and agreement rationalization opportunities within the portfolio
  • Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (enterprise resource planning friendly agreements)
  • Active contribution in Category networks and use of category specific information
  • Support Procurement Associate work at other sites / regions as agreed with Category Specialists

Job Requirements

  • BS, MBA, MS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation and communication skills
  • A minimum of 8years of contracting experience is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of upstream procurement experience is preferred

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Category / commodity expertise
  • Experience in supporting or developing complex compensation structures (e.g. modifying time and material agreements to unit rate)
  • Experience supporting upstream projects
  • Experience working in a co-located fashion with supported clients
  • Procurement / commercial functional expertise
  • Understanding of client business and objectives
  • Familiarity with/experience in Drilling Services
  • Leadership skills
  • Communication skills
  • Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of purchase to pay process including enterprise resource planning systems
  • Project planning / execution skills
