Michael Baker International's Water Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.


Michael Baker is actively seeking a Project Manager for our Drainage group for the Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will be a task leader for drainage related tasks on projects for local and regional municipalities and flood control districts. •The successful candidate will be responsible for project related drainage design tasks, drainage report preparation, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Candidate will mentor and lead junior staff to complete task requirements on budget and schedule. Candidate willcoordinate with clients and have opportunities to participate in marketing activities.

•The candidate shall have strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Opportunities willbe provided to work with clients and participate in marketing activities.


•5-10 years of related experience with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, ArcGIS, and additional experience in Civil 3D, MicroStation and Inroads is a plus.

•You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of storm water management and principles of hydrology and hydraulics of storm water runoff.

•BS in Civil Engineering or related field,

•Professional engineering license (PE) in Arizona
