A DC-based organization that supports the healthcare industry is seeking a technical leader to oversee our software development projects/products. This position involves heavy interface with outsourced vendors but has no direct reports.

We are seeking a software leader who is both strategic and technical and who can embrace our mission. This position reports to a Director and is appropriate for someone who is currently at the Manager or Technical Lead level, or Director in a smaller organization.
The Senior Development Manager is the critical development interface between internal product managers and external solution providers that are responsible for the creation and the enhancement of innovative products and solutions that will transform the Healthcare industry.
This role involves a mix of Product/Technical Roadmap Management, Application Development Management, Resource/Vendor Management, and Operations Support Management. This role will work collaboratively across matrix organizations and with solutions partners in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- The ideal candidate has 8+ years designing, developing and IT applications and complex systems , and has a deep technical understanding of the Microsoft .NET Stack from a hands-on perspective
- Plus at least 5 years leading development teams , preferably using Agile Development.
- While the role does not involve coding, we need someone who is relatively hands-on and who can contribute to the software architecture and design and evaluate the technical work of our vendors.
Experience in the Healthcare industry is beneficial.
