Serve as a software engineer on a small team maintaining and building secure business systems for Air Force clients. Participate in requirements definition, analyze system design plans, construct clean and efficient code to meet client requirements, adhere to team standards, monitor code execution to ensure performance thresholds are met, and react to security review feedback by providing necessary patches to maintain the security posture of the system. Work with a diverse professional staff, including systems administrators, security engineers, application testers, and client subject matter experts to ensure software requirements are met and client ready solutions are delivered to the client user base.
-5+ years of experience with developing in .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio suite
-5+ years of experience in interfacing and developing interfaces with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, software engineering concepts, and the software development life cycle (SLDC)
-Experience with supporting the DoD Certification and Accreditation process
-Knowledge of database concepts, Web server maintenance, error log analysis, code performance analysis, and enterprise IT computing environments, including technologies, processes, and security
-Knowledge of current technology trends for the potential application of current and emerging technology solutions to meet customer requirements
-Ability to migrate systems from Classic.asp to .NET
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degreerequired
-Experience with DoD or Air Force IT systems, including AR, IIT, e-Plan, ERPIMS, or MXT
-Knowledge of Oracle Database performance and tuning techniques, tools, and best practices
-Possession of excellent technical skills with a focus on working as part of a team
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with customers, engineers, and managers
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
