Job Description

In this role, the candidate will be a key resource for the customer and drive requirements for the customer. The candidate would be involved with designing and developing solutions for the customer. The candidate would be spending part of their time coordinating with a team of offshore resources. The candidate would need to have some flexibility for travel to the customer location.This is a direct hire postition, contractors will not be considered. Candidate should be local to the Greater Boston Area, no relocation for this position.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for coordinating and leading the offshore web applications support group as well as development team
  • Prioritize daily development tasks, delegate tasks, review progress on daily basis
  • Responsible for providing resource estimations for various development projects, monitor development progress against the plan/deadlines
  • Prioritized the issues/activities, scope the issue and provide technical guidance to the team. And Perform code reviews
  • Coordinate with business analyst and business users to understand the requirements and translate it into technical specifications
  • Review technical design specifications with client’s IT team and business analyst to get design sign off. Conduct code review sessions with client’s IT team and get code signoff to proceed with User Acceptance Testing
  • Contribute to development activities, help team solve complex issues
  • Work under pressure, adhere to Client’s product release cycles for the development work while providing daily support for numerous customer facing and internal critical web applications
  • Ability to respond to urgent critical issues without relying on offshore team
  • must be technically very strong and able to resolve complex issues
  • Provide status updates, conduct meetings for requirement gathering, communicate with highly technical resources and non-technical business stakeholders which includes Client’s IT team, Business Analysts, technical support, customer support, product configuration, product development, marketing, and senior management
  • Ability to analyze issues and address the root cause to prevent reoccurring issues. Suggest application improvements and process improvements
  • Prepare Knowledge base documents to help offshore team and client IT team
  • Adherence and commitment to client’s business processes, deployment process and compliance requirements

Required Experience:

  • Atleast 5+ years of experience developing applications in ASP.Net versions 2.0/ 3.0 and 3.5 Must be Strong : .Net 2.0/3.5, ASP.NET, C#, ASP, MS SQL Server 2008/2005, ETL/SSIS Packages, Web Services
  • Must have experience with: CMS, E-Business suite/third party applications integration
  • VB.NET, Visual Basic, MVC, Source Control, Technical Design
  • Nice to have : BizTalk/Integration engine, COM/DCom, WinForm, IIS Administration, UI Development, Visio, WCF Services, Sharepoint, PhP, Perl, Java Script
  • Hands-on experience working with web applications using AJAX and extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Database design and development using MS Sql server 2005 and later
  • Experience working on Sql Server Reporting and Integration Services
  • Experience leading an off/shore team


  • Experience developing Microsoft SharePoint applications
  • Windows Presentation Layer expertise
