The Position

This position collaborates with our support and SRE teams to maintain the operational health of our Azure production systems.  As a site reliability engineer, you will serve as the development escalation point for customer facing issues and will be challenged to continuously introduce automation recipes for our production runbooks.  Emphasis is placed on ticket resolution within SLA windows, appropriately triaging and prioritizing issues and proactively monitoring overall system health.

The right candidate for this role is customer focused, thorough and can work with and across multi-disciplinary teams.  You will excel at performing root cause analysis, documenting your findings and driving issues to resolution with permanent solutions (no band-aids!).  As a steward of our production systems, you will regularly be asked to prescribe thoughtful solutions to administering our Azure resources so that our platform continues to scale in a clean and sustainable fashion.

Must have for this role:

  • Experience with C# and .NET framework
  • SQL experience using SQL Server or related RDMS technology
  • Strong knowledge of XSLT 1.0 and 2.0
  • Strong shell scripting automation skills (Powershell preferred)
  • Broad experience dealing with debugging and optimizing large applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work with a diverse array of teams
