The Division Production Control/Logistics Manager is responsible for providing strategic, developmental and tactical direction for materials planning and logistics activities.  Scope of influence includes: Forecasting, Supply Planning, Order Replenishment, Inventory Management, Customer Collaboration, Transportation, Customs Compliance and other activities required to ensure accurate and timely availability of materials.  This leadership role will directly influence materials management and production control and logistics within the region through direct interactions with multiple manufacturing sites, suppliers and Customers.


  • Lead and direct the regional Production Control and Logistics function. Develop Materials Management Systems in conjunction with the organization’s enterprise operating system to achieve World Class Excellence.                                     
  • Lead and improve planning and scheduling processes and systems to incorporate Sales & Operations Planning, Master Scheduling and MRP Planning Systems.                                 
  • Champion the implementation of common practices and processes across the NA locations including master data management, inventory management and production planning. Seek to develop and deploy best practices whether invented internally or externally.                                        
  • Drive a reduction in overall inventory including E&O within the region to achieve regional business unit Goals and Objectives.                                      
  • Utilize Materials Management Systems to ensure effective usage of the organizations EOS; SAP, MRP, Process Re-Engineering, and Lean Deployment.                                
  • Mentors plant materials personnel in planning, executing and continuously improving work processes as well as upgrading the current talent by encouraging further education and training to include APICS certifications.                                  
  • Oversee and manage all multimillion-dollar regional logistics activities including freight cost savings projects                                    
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives throughout the PC&L function and assist in driving continuous improvement tools throughout the corporation.  Support Lean projects to improve operational performance                                   
  • Promote new plans and actions in the area of inventory that lead to increased cash flow and shorter manufacturing and transportation lead-times                                 
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Customers, Suppliers, Sales Teams, regional manufacturing operations in an effort to improve service levels while optimizing costs                             
  • Manage monthly S&OP process by developing, organizing, and presenting a balanced view of customer demand and available supply, with inventory and action plans to address imbalances        
  • Manage and implement budget planning and inventory strategies that are designed to drive high level customer service                                           
  • Support and ensure compliance with all US customs policies and regulations.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
  • Travel up to 30% (International & Domestic)                                                                   

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Business                              
  • 10years in a Materials Management leadership role, experience with multiple locations and a global supply chain, Automotive products experience a plus                                                      
  • Superior planning and analytical capabilities, ability to appropriately summarize for executive management                                              
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and materials management systems and processes.                              


  • MBA or Master’s degree focused on Supply Chain/Operation                                                    
  • APICS certification desired.                                                      
  • Background and knowledge in SAP, QAD, Oracle, MFG/Pro and other equivalent software packages preferred
  • Superior planning and analytical capabilities, ability to appropriately summarize for executive management 
  • Thorough knowledge of Automotive industry, complex molding and stamping materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP highly preferred                                               
  • Certifications in Lean, APICS, CPIM or Six Sigma methodologies
  • An operational and financial understanding of the fundamentals in manufacturing, production control, logistics and customer service                                                        
  • Management of performance metrics and accountability for results                                                      
  • Committed to developing and coaching employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams 
  • Advanced computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite                                                       
  • Certification or equivalent education and training in Lean Management principles and concepts             
  • Proven experience, skills, and leadership in developing and implementing a strategic map to achieve a world-class material organization
