This position will play a key role and serve on the Management Team of the Environmental Services Department. The Operations and Maintenance Division of the Environmental Services Department provides for the proper operation and maintenance of the City's wastewater and storm water utilities' assets. Areas of responsibility include: collection systems, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, regional drainage facilities and NPDES permit compliance. The Division Manager is responsible for setting division policies and procedures; program management; budgeting; developing and maintaining a highly effective and motivated workforce; and making presentations to the City Council and other groups. This position reports to the Environmental Services Director. This role will include close coordination with the group's Department Director related to meeting the strategic plan of the Department and City.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Office and outdoor environment, occasional travel to a variety of locations to conduct work and may be exposed to typical hazards encountered at such work sites. Subject to emergency calls during off-duty hours.

Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field and five years' experience managing a major section within a publicly owned utility, or equivalent organization. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in wastewater and storm water issues and excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership and management skills.
