We have an outstanding opportunity for a Division Controller leading the accounting operations of our organization based in McKinney, TX. The business currently consists of over 140 branches across the of the United States.

 

This role is responsible for ensuring the financial health of the company, including controlling the financial management of operations and business assets. The major responsibilities include:

  • Lead timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and analyses
  • Manage the Accounting Staff and Cash Applications Department
  • Lead the efficient and timely completion of operational and financial branch reviews
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, otherinternal controls, and company policies
  • Maintain and enforce the highest level of data integrity
  • Active participation integrating acquisitions
  • Assist with year-end audits
  • Work with Chief Accounting Officer and other Division Controllers to improve current accounting policies and processes as well as implement new ones

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be able to think and act strategically but also be a hands-on problem solver with strong technical accounting and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPArequired, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five years of accounting leadership experience with ten years combined public and industry accounting experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization and drive change
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and problem resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions
  • Ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy
  • Advanced Excel skills required
