The Department of Psychiatry at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida is currently seeking a Chief of Child Psychiatry to leadits growing division.

Candidates seeking a unique opportunity to build something of their own while joining an already strong psychiatry clinical practice in Central Florida will enjoy being a part of this team.  The Chief will lead a Division of 8-10 psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, LCSW’s and Applied Behavior Analysts operating in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  The position is approximately 25% administrative and 75% clinical.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding clinician and teacher who is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. At least five years of experience in a physician leadership role such as Chair, Division Chief, Medical Director or Program Director required. We are looking for a demonstrated commitment to and experience in a high-quality, patient- and family-centered care organization.The candidate must have experience in working with medically complex patients, displaying comfort on an inpatient setting, as well as experience in leadership and the ability to form relationships with specialists. The ideal candidate must be flexible, long term vision “5 year plan,” excellent people skills, and the ability to work well with often challenging and differing perspectives, even within one specialty clinic.
