Summary

A leading manufacturer and global supplier of specialty chemicals for food, sanitation, water treatment, legionella control, facility maintenance, restroom odor control and industrial cleaning is seeking a District Manager. The company has an extensive line of environmentally preferable products for all markets, as well as many other bio-based products.

We are seeking a District Sales Manager who will be responsible for their Western New York Territory. This candidate will be responsible for supporting and mentoring the team, which currently consists of: one sales person, one junior sales person, and one service technician. A skilled water treatment sales professional with excellent leadership experience is required. Water Treatment or Chemical Sales Experience is a must!

Requirements

In this role as the District Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

Increasing sales for the water treatment chemical programs within the Western New York Territory by direct selling to current and future customers.

Developing district sales by managing, training and supporting the district sales team.

Communicating to the sales team and customers a complete understanding of products, pricing, applications and benefits.

Develops positive relationships by maintaining continuing contact with key customer accounts in the district.

Responsible for recruiting, leading and developing team members

Approves pricing and proposals from reporting reps on all products for customers.

Accountable for overall district profitability.

Ensures individual sales reps and service techs in the district are trained for job success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate applicable experience.

3-5 years sales experience; Direct Water Treatment Chemical Sales is required

2-3 years management experience; preferably sales management
