           What You Will Do:

  • Represent all product lines of the Company to assigned distributors mainly covering the aftermarket.
  • Support business partner initiatives to maximize sales results. 
  • Coordinate with business partners to create demand, develop and execute strategy, and successfully close orders. 
  • Participate in joint sales calls and training; attend local, regional and/or national trade shows and association meetings.   
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target customers through a consultative selling approach and regular pattern of calls to achieve goals.
  • Advise customers on product mix, applications, and promotions that meet their needs. 
  •  Suggest possible new products and adaptations for product and/or system applications.
  • Follow up on all job quotes with channel partners to secure projects and ensure a favorable mix of Allegion products.
  • Build account plans aligned with business strategic drivers to support growth.
  • Provide sales support to the established distributors within the assigned territory including channel program management, product presentations, joint sales calls and sales leads.
  • Assist with marketing events and business development activities such as trade shows, counter days and promotions.
  • Conduct basic product training to assigned distributors.
  • Ensure customers and partners are adequately trained on new and existing products.
  • May recommend the addition of new distributors and assist in their evaluation.
  • Report competitive information to assist in maintaining accurate competitor product / price lists.
  • Maintain and utilize CRM tool for sales reporting and to communicate sales activities. 
  • Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity. 
  • Adapt to change in marketplace and report major activities, new sales opportunities and market info to sales manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers (including all cross functional teams).
  • Establish loyalty to Allegion products and services leading to increased revenue.
  • Maintain awareness of all Allegion, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.

    What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 3 year’s sales experience.
  • Experience from an architectural hardware industry is an asset.
  • Completion of at least two years of the DHI Training Courses or equivalent experience.
  • University or College graduate in Architectural Engineering or Technology, Designated Architectural Hardware Consultant (A.H.C), or a related background.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driving license in the province of residence.
  • Be willing to travel within Canada and / or the United States.
  • Excellent computer skills including word and excel.
  • Travel 25% including local and national travel.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence at all levels across the Company.
  • Strong selling abilities with a results-driven attitude
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.
