Fundamental Components:

Develops and fosters relationships with assigned distribution partners at all levels across organizations; supporting all segments and product solutions.
Ensures internal distribution partner objectives are achieved.
Builds Awareness with distribution partners on Aetna Happenings / solutions
Defines standard distribution operating model- Ensures consistency is applied across local field offices. Drive National strategy locally.
Provides information on distribution partners for Field teams- build awareness on threats, opportunities and strategies.
Develops and executes a consistent governance process. Prepares, coordinates and leads all routine meetings and coordinates all Executive meetings and prepares materials to support productive dialogue.
Manages all partnership contracts working in partnership with Aetnas Legal Team. Ensures Aetnas interests are accounted for and are carried out in accordance with the terms.
Assists Aetna local markets in all Producer-driven sales efforts and resolve production and relationship challenges. (*)
Oversees cobranded partnership solutions - Delivers on commitments and ensures that solutions are driving results.
Participates in all Producer and Consultant development activities nationally and locally as needed.
Coordinates within Aetna to support all distribution partner needs to support relationship.
Ensures distribution partner strategy and solutions are understood by field teams and executives.
Serves as the expert for assigned distribution channel partnerships maintaining awareness of industry, company, competitor, legislative and regulatory activities.
Handles and manages day to day requests and ongoing concerns and requests.
Works with leadership to build firm strategy and business plan to execute on objectives.
Tracks metrics to ensure achievement of goals / objectives by distribution partner are met. Responsible for managing and documenting all metrics and reporting on assigned portfolio.
Communicates effectively at all levels. Ability to tailor and adjust and deliver content based on audience needs.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
License as required by state laws.
Minimum 10 years of Sales or Sales Leadership experience in Healthcare (Broker or Carrier side)
Sales & Service/Distribution channel management/1-3 Years
Sales & Service/Strategy development/ 3-5 Years
Sales & Service/Sales administration, support, reporting/1-3 Years Education and Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication skills

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
