POSITION PURPOSE

The Director of Treasury Risk & Compliance is responsible for assessing and managing treasury risk of the significant centralized investment, debt, and swap portfolios that comprise the Treasury Program of Trinity Health. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with investment policies and manages the external audit of the Investment Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.

Leads Asset Liability Management study that models risks and opportunities as a result of Trinity Health's strategic plan and corresponding objectives, works with executive leadership to define appropriate risk scenarios and corresponding values, develops recommendations for Investment Subcommittee ("ISC") approval. Maintains updated investment policies based on results.

Performs initial and ongoing due diligence related to the selection of investment managers or direct investment opportunities in coordination with the Investment Team and maintains all due diligence documentation in investment software system. Member of the Investment Manager Selection Team.

Develops risk management reports and interprets results/portfolio impacts with the objective of providing dynamic analysis of economic risk within the various portfolios.

Directs the portfolio rebalancing process, approves investment trades and insures portfolio liquidity levels and asset allocation is in compliance with approved targets in all investment portfolios.

Maintains and ensures compliance with investment policies and procedures; maintains ISC charter and workplan.

Develops the project plan for quarterly ISC meetings, participates in ISC meetings and presents relevant materials, prepares meeting minutes and executive summary for Committee Chair.

Accountable for successful relationship with Custodian, including development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs") and fees at risk.

Manages and supports the external audit of investment portfolios; maintains a working knowledge of applicable GAAP accounting requirements

Provides support to Trinity Health senior management by coordinating special assignments as directed by senior management.

Promotes strong working relationships across various Trinity Health departments including Financial Reporting, Retirement Benefits, Tax, Legal, Insurance and Risk, and Internal Audit; responsible for effective engagement and compliance oversight with vendors including consultants, auditors, investment managers, and technology suppliers; acts as primary liaison and oversees the relationship with the custodian

Assumes leadership and direction for Treasury programs as appropriate.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a broad-based knowledge of finance and investments, normally obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business, and a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the area of Treasury and financial expertise regarding business trends. Master's degree and/or CFA preferred.

Must possess a background in investments and experience in detailed portfolio analysis.

Must possess strong analytical and computer technology skills.

Ability to prepare board level presentations and strong PowerPoint skills.

Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
