The Talent Acquisition function at GE Appliances which is located at the corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY, supports the company's ability to deliver on its business strategy of innovation, value creation, and "enabling happiness and well-being in every home." The Director of Talent Acquisition is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and operational oriented thought manager who wants to influence the business strategy for - talent attraction, recruitment, candidate experience and on-boarding. Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, this position will manage, and define the recruitment strategy, recruitment systems and recruitment processes that identify and select talent.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will deliver performance and be capable of continually transforming the talent acquisition function to keep pace with industry and business demands.
What you will Do
Leadership: Lead and manage Business Partners (Recruiters) and on-site Operations (Recruitment Coordinators) who are responsible for full-cycle recruiting (i.e., sourcing, evaluating, closing and on-boarding candidates) and are aligned to the business via functional lines. The team is also supported by an external RPO team that specializes in external talent sourcing pipelines and volume surges.
Strategy: Proactive leader that understands how to put planning in place and knows how to translate business priorities into actionable items. Counsel to the business on the most effective strategies for acquiring the talent needed today and for the future. This includes ensuring resources are allocated to best support critical business initiatives.
Operations: Thinks beyond the status quo, questions how things might be different, and develop creative ideas for alternatives. Take risks to deliver change and innovation and inspires the team to do the same. Provides oversight for the entire talent acquisition infrastructure including: processes and procedures and vendor management.
Focus on Diversity: Champions diversity and culture in all aspects of the hiring process by not only delivering a diverse slate of candidates but also delivering a culture that understands the impact of cultural add vs cultural fit.
Technology: On-going management and continued enhancement of recruitment technology systems including – ATS (Workday) and CRM (Phenom People and Yello).
Metrics: Maintains and ensures Service Level Agreements/Performance Metrics that measure results, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Teamwork: Develops and maintains relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Key Stakeholders.
What you need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required, MBA or an advanced degree preferred.
Must have 10+ years total experience recruiting with a minimum of 5 years' experience in recruiting leadership.
Prior relevant military service will be considered in relation to required/desired qualifications

Hands-on experience in vendor management and contract negotiations – RPO, recruitment marketing, background check, and CRM partners

Knowledge of employment laws and OFCCP requirements.
Analytical and metrics orientation with the desire and ability to use metrics to gain awareness and visibility to support a position and to "tell a story."
Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through completion.
Proven written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to positively communicate with all levels of the organization.
