Talent acquisition plays a critical role in the Corporate Functions team’s long-term success. The person in this position is part of a leadership team inclusive of Recruiting, HR Operations, Learning and Development and HR Business Partners who work together to support Gap Inc.’s Corporate Functions: Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Global Sustainability and Foundation, Franchise, Customer Strategy, Corporate Administration, Loss Prevention, Real Estate and Store Development and Design.  S/he will provide a strategic voice to our recruiting efforts, leading a skilled team of recruiters and talent sourcing experts. The role ensures that the Corporate Functions talent acquisition needs are met, including staffing, talent sourcing, talent assessment, employer branding, and developing a recruiting mindset with leaders at all levels. The Director Talent Acquisition will:

  • Set and Drive the Corporate Function Recruiting Strategy
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to develop results-driven staffing strategies that meet current & future needs
  • Drive innovation in talent attraction across the Corporate Functions
  • Develop and monitor key metrics for recruiting effectiveness, including diversity & inclusion
  • Create alignment with Gap Inc. Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and the other brand recruiting teams
  • Participate in Corporate Function’s talent management processes and the broader talent assessment process
  • Develop and drive programs to compliment talent branding initiatives and sourcing strategies

Build a Recruiting and Proactive Sourcing Culture

  • Work with business partners, Learning & Development, and HR partners to build recruiting skills and capabilities in hiring managers at levels
  • Build systems of accountability and ownership for talent acquisition
  • Coach and develop the Recruiting team, HR partners and anyone with a passion for talent acquisition
  • Help HR generalists and hiring managers to develop, cultivate, and maintain internal and external relationships that support a diverse talent pipeline
  • Provide leadership and thought partnership to hiring managers, business partners, and HR generalists

Ensure Recruiting Consistency and Excellence

  • Embed process, tools, and systems within the business in order to improve hiring process
  • Ensure that there is hiring manager and interview team commitment to the interview process, and a consistent, positive candidateexperience
  • Drive increasingly cost-effective sources of hiring
  • Help ensure on-boarding plans are created and supported for all new hires, ensuring transition from engaged candidate to engaged and contributing employee

Talent Branding

  • Develop and implement a talent branding platform for Corporate Functions
  • Partner with Branding and Engagement teams in HR to leverage other branding work
  • Partner with Corporate Function’s communications to tell our employment story

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a recruiting role, with multiple years as a successful team leader
  • Proven experience in building organizational capability and expertise in recruiting top talent
  • Proven track record of developing creative recruiting strategies that drive overall business effectiveness
  • Excellent people management, coaching, and development skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven track record of effectively influencing and navigating across organizational boundaries and building strong partnerships
