Job Summary –
With an expanding global market, INSYS looks for a talented professional to direct and implement all supply chain functions and work with contract manufacturing partners to ensure supply continuity of current INSYS commercial products, SUBSYS and SYNDROS, as well as future commercial products. This individual will also provide technical, operational, and strategic leadership of the production planning function in support of INSYS commercial and R&D needs. The position will report directly to the SVP, Manufacturing.
Responsibilities & Duties –
Daily manage the activities of the global supply chain for INSYS products, which include but are not limited to problem solving and escalation, decision-making, technical support, and internal/external function coordination.
Lead INSYS Serialization projects, coordinate the projects in internal manufacturing plant, external contract manufacturer and packaging company, serialization provider, as well as 3PL. Partner with various functions within or outside INSYS to execute the project to approved schedule and budget.
Post-serialization completion, be responsible for implementation of serialization activities on each commercial product.
Develop supply strategies for critical components and raw materials used in INSYS commercial production.
Responsible for managing relationships with critical materials vendors and service providers, such as CMOs.
Control inventory with consideration of both cash flow and supply reliability. Generate inventory projection analysis and other KPIs / reports for Monthly S&OP review.
Partner with Legal and Finance for supply contact preparation and revision.
Play a critical role in vendor selection.
Closely work with Commercial, Finance, R&D, QA, and Regulatory for contract manufacturing and supply chain activities.
Represent Manufacturing and Supply Chain Department for new product launches and existing product life cycle activities.
Partner with other stakeholders for the creation and implementation of best practices to drive highest value for INSYS patients, customers, and the shareholders.
Qualifications and Skills –
Minimum 7-year experience in pharmaceutical supply chain, Pharmaceutical project management or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing planning.
Strong project management skill with successful record of managing drug manufacturing / supply chain activities.
Experience in internal/external manufacturing management in the cGMP environment.
Extensive knowledge of cGMP and new drug development activities.
Good understanding of drug serialization requirement and associated IT technology.
Strong analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
